Kawaii Kitty SHELf MOLd PLEASE READ before buying Silicone Mold For Resin Casting Desk Shelf Mold
This shelf mold is made from 3d printed plastic which means lines on it are completely unavoidable. It has however been treated/polished and has a very nice finish but if you want to make it more domed or glazed you will need to glaze or dome it yourself although it should produce a beautiful raw piece. More to know: do not fill this mold up all the way big molds like this will have ridges on the top from using contact paper to hold the design in place and when we cut off the excess silicone that crepes underneath there will be jagged edges at the top rim from hand trimming but you should not be filling your mold all the way to the top.
The back was designed thick for this reason. You are meant to leave 1-2mm empty at the back so when you dome/glaze the back you will have a nice clean beveled surface to work with to keep your dome or glaze resin inside it. This mold is not returnable, but you are welcome to destash it if for any reason you are unhappy with it.
We have been completely honest about the mold here and on our instagram. Molds from 3d printers have lines/ridges. Simple glaze or dome your piece and they disappear. Attention: our molds are handmade which means they do not come from machines or factories. Molds will always have small flaws/imperfections. We appreciate your understanding & love you for it we are getting better with every mold we make and nothing has come out unusable so far. Even factory molds come with defects.
