The drop off

This piece was created by me from memories of researching whale sharks in the maldives. P gave me the chance to document and identify each individual shark on the atoll. It was the expense of a life time and one i will never forget. Whale sharks swim very close to the reef to feed on the mico organisms that the reef supplies. Also to keep their body heat up as they are cold-blooded animals.

In the maldives the reef is only 30 to 40 ft. The sharks are in that depth of water and then dive into the drop off if startled or to leave the reef.
